Spend a enjoyable week on board our 65' liveaboard vessel, the M/V Shear Water, as we cruise the warm, shallow, gin-clear waters of White Sand Ridge, an area of the Bahama Banks. Enjoy first class meals in between your snorkeling excursions with the wild dolphins of the Bahamas. The scenery alone is sure to set the mood for a glorious and relaxing vacation. Best of all, you don't need to be a certified scuba diver to enjoy these wild dolphin encounters! Anyone can do it — young and old alike.
To help make these wild dolphin encounters fruitful we employ the use of our eye in the sky — our flying boat. Our skilled pilot will take to the air to spot dolphin pods sometimes numbering over fifty and relay their location to our liveaboard vessel. Using the flying boat to search for wild dolphins allows us to spend more time enjoying the dolphin interaction and less time running around endlessly in circles across the vast Bahama Banks in search of our flippered friends. This technique, employing our flying boat, is unique only to us and our success with it has been outstanding.
It's the dolphins that make this trip unique and you'll have a first class seat whether you're on the boat or below the waves. Watch as pods of Spotted and Bottlenose Dolphins swim on the bow of our boat, twisting and turning to get a close view of the cheering divers on the bow. Watch the wild dolphins as they perform acrobatic jumps off our boat wake. And thrill at the magical sight of the bioluminescent neon green silhouette of the dolphins at night as they swim on our bow. The best part about these wild dolphin encounters is that nothing is rehearsed, these are wild dolphins who have not been trained to perform, so you'll never know what exciting new thing they will do.

Swimming in the beautiful, shallow sandy bottom of the Bahama Banks with the wild spotted and bottlenose dolphins will be an experience like no other. These wild dolphin encounters will be the perfect recipe of all out fun mixed in moderate proportions with the spiritual and therapeutic dance of the snorkelers and dolphins swimming in perfect harmony alongside each other. Play along with these wild dolphins in their own game — what we call the seaweed game. Play for hours at a time at their version of the game of cat and mouse. If there's no seaweed to be found we'll bring along a bandana and encourage them to play, which they whole heartedly do most of the time.
